Flower Queen

"Flower Queen" was a personal project that I started to experiment with different ideas and mediums. It took about a week to complete. "Flower Queen" was created shortly after "Flower Bicycle" was made. It was inspired by several flower crown images on Pinterest. "Flower Queen" is accented with gold leaf throughout her crown and edges. She is made primarily from prismacolor colored pencils on a 14X17in. drawing paper.

"Husky Boi" was created in preparation for "Poodle Babes." Before "Husky Boi" I had never drawn a colored pencil animal before. So, when I was asked to do a animal portrait commission, I practiced different fur techniques on "Husky Boi." I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out!

"Poodle Babes" was drawn shortly after drawing "Husky Boi: fur study". After experiencing the loss of her husband, Ms. Jackie adopted two Red Haired Poodles to love and care for. And to commemorate their adoption, she commissioned me to create a portrait of her beloved poodle babes.

Legacy

I drew "Legacy" as a gift for my great grandma for her 93rd birthday. It was inspired from a photo of her and my grandpa. She has always been a huge inspiration and supporter of my artwork. It was the least that I could do to create this portrait for her. She absolutely loved the drawing and hung it in her bedroom that same day!
